High heart is a major barrier to a prayer

Sinners like the Samaritan woman can easily get God's forgiveness, as well as thenation of Nineveh, which equal the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah.

But not with those who are haughty, arrogant and conceited. The more they stay there,they live farther from the reach of God and His love.

When a sinner who humbly pray, God will answer it immediately. But if they are proudto pray, their prayers they distanced themselves from God.
